i know, i think yg intends it to simulate the serious competition whatever group debuts will be facing from their peers, but i feel really bad imagining whatever group loses having to spend even more time training, being split up from their members or whatever happens and most of all going to bed every night and thinking about what little thing they could have done to have made fans vote for them.
granted it does have some foothold in reality; often fan votes determine a lot of the awards idols win/don’t win and such, and generally large fan base = continuous success, but i feel like that’s something that should come into play after debut. predebut groups should be managed by their company alone.
i’m all for fan voices being heard, but it pains me to think of six or so dreams being crushed based on something so fickle.
